This is commercial inventory and it moves differently from our retail lots. Box trucks and chassis arrive in small numbers, so what's here changes week to week rather than sitting static. If you're building out a delivery operation, a moving company, or a service fleet anywhere in the Chicago metro, check back often — or tell us the configuration you need and we'll call when it lands.

Speccing the Truck to the Work

Three things decide whether a unit fits your operation, and they're worth confirming on the specific truck rather than assuming from the listing photo:

Gross vehicle weight rating determines both what you can legally carry and whether your drivers need a CDL. Ask us for the GVWR on any unit you're considering.

Liftgate or ramp. Loading heavy freight by hand changes your labor math considerably. Liftgate-equipped units are the first to go, so call rather than waiting for the right listing to appear.

Door type. A roll-up door needs no clearance behind the truck; a swing door needs several feet. That matters more than people expect in city alleys and tight docks.

Buying Commercial Through Us

Talk to us directly on commercial units rather than going through a web form, especially if you're buying more than one. We'll tell you what we know about the truck and whatever service history came with it, and we'd encourage you to bring your own mechanic or fleet manager through it before you buy.

One thing to know up front: commercial vehicles are excluded from our 7-day return and exchange policy. That makes the pre-purchase inspection more important, not less.

Commercial Buyer Questions

Do I need a CDL to drive one of these?

Under federal rules a CDL is generally required above 26,000 lbs GVWR, and many light box trucks and cutaways fall below that. Confirm the GVWR on the specific unit and check current Illinois Secretary of State requirements before you put a driver in it — don't take a listing's word for it.

What sizes and configurations do you have?

It changes constantly at these volumes. Call for current availability rather than relying on the page.

Do the trucks have liftgates?

Some do, and they sell first. Get on the phone if that's a requirement.

Can I have my own mechanic inspect the truck first?

We'd encourage it on commercial units. Arrange it with the store holding the vehicle.

Can I finance a commercial vehicle?

Talk to our finance team directly about how to structure it. Don't assume a retail process applies to a commercial purchase.
