Nothing moves seven people and their gear with less daily friction than a minivan — sliding doors a child can operate, a flat load floor, and seating that folds out of the way instead of into your cargo space. We keep close to 60 minivans and passenger vans across our four Illinois lots.

Seating, Doors and Car Seats

Count your seats honestly before you shop. Most minivans are configured for seven or eight. The usual difference is second-row captain's chairs — seven seats, with a walkway through to the third row — versus a second-row bench, which gives you eight seats and no walkway. If you're installing two or three car seats, that walkway is worth more than the extra seat every single day.

The other thing worth asking about is stowable seating. Chrysler and Dodge vans equipped with Stow 'n Go fold the second and third rows into the floor, turning the van into a cargo hauler in a couple of minutes. Not every van has it, so tell us if it matters and we'll pull the ones that do.

Open Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, closed Sunday. Bring the car seats and the kids — a test drive with the actual passengers tells you more than any spec sheet.

Minivan and Van Questions

How many people can these vans seat?

Most of our minivans seat seven or eight. Full-size passenger vans seat more depending on configuration. Use the seating capacity filter to narrow it down before you drive out.

Which vans have seats that fold into the floor?

Chrysler Town & Country, Chrysler Pacifica and Dodge Grand Caravan models equipped with Stow 'n Go. Ask us which of the ones in stock have it.

Are minivans good for rideshare driving?

XL requests pay more and fewer drivers can take them. Check your platform's current vehicle-age requirements before you buy, since they change and vary by market.

Minivan or three-row SUV?

If the priority is getting people and things in and out easily, the minivan usually wins on practicality and price. Choose a three-row SUV if you need more towing capacity or all-wheel drive. We stock both, so drive them back to back.
