Over 100 Used Pickup Trucks, Four Illinois Lots
Trucks are our second-largest category after SUVs — more than a hundred pickups between Joliet, Waukegan, Elgin and Crestwood. Deep enough to be selective about cab configuration, bed length and drivetrain rather than taking whatever one truck a smaller lot happens to have.
Current depth: Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (24), Ford F-150 (22), GMC Sierra 1500 (10), Ram 1500 (9), Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD (9), Toyota Tundra (6), Toyota Tacoma (4) and Silverado 3500 HD (3), plus GMC Sierra 3500 HD, Ford F-250, Ram 2500, Chevrolet Colorado and Ford Ranger in smaller numbers. We also carry a dozen diesels across the inventory.
Half-Ton or Heavy-Duty?
Half-ton — F-150, Silverado 1500, Ram 1500, Sierra 1500, Tundra. Where most of our truck inventory sits, and the right answer for most buyers. Tows most travel and equipment trailers, comfortable enough to drive daily, and parts availability keeps repairs affordable.
Heavy-duty (2500/3500, F-250/F-350) — Worth it if you actually need it: gooseneck towing, a plow, a service body, or sustained heavy payload. They ride firmer and cost more to insure and register. When you need one, nothing else substitutes.
Mid-size — Tacoma, Colorado, Ranger. Fewer of these on the lots, so call to check. Better fuel economy and easier to park if the truck is also your daily driver and your hauling is dirt bikes, mulch and dump runs rather than equipment.
4WD and Illinois Roads
Around 260 vehicles in our inventory are 4WD and pickups are a large share of that. If you're running a landscaping, concrete, roofing or snow-removal operation out of Will, Kane, Lake or south Cook County, filter by drivetrain and shop 4WD only.
Worth doing on any used truck in this climate: get underneath it, or ask us to, and look at the frame and brake lines. Illinois road salt is hard on both, and it's the thing most worth knowing before you buy.
Trucks Near Your Job Sites
Joliet at 1506 W Jefferson St, (815) 725-0850, is convenient from Channahon, Minooka, Wilmington, Braidwood, New Lenox and the I-80 corridor. Crestwood at 14112 Pulaski Rd, (708) 691-9142, serves Alsip, Blue Island, Oak Forest, Midlothian and Tinley Park.
Elgin at 881 E Chicago St, (847) 429-2681, covers Carpentersville, Huntley, Hampshire, St. Charles and Algonquin. Waukegan at 2741 Belvidere Rd, (847) 749-5175, covers Lake County from Gurnee and Zion through North Chicago and Mundelein. Trucks can be transferred between stores on request, so you don't lose a working day driving across the metro.
Truck Buyer Questions
Do most of your pickups have 4WD?
A large share do. Filter by drivetrain in the sidebar to see only 4WD, and call if you specifically want a 2WD work truck.
How do I find out what a specific truck can tow?
Tow rating depends on engine, rear axle ratio, cab and bed configuration and factory tow package — two identical-looking F-150s can differ by thousands of pounds. Give us the VIN and we'll confirm the real number rather than quote a brochure figure.
Do you get work trucks with racks, tool boxes or service bodies?
They come through, usually from a business trade-in, and they don't sit long. Tell us what configuration you need and we'll flag the next one. For chassis and larger commercial units, see box trucks and cab chassis.
Is a diesel worth it over a gas truck?
If you tow heavy regularly and put on serious miles, the torque and longevity are real. If you tow occasionally, gas is usually the better total-cost choice. Diesel emissions systems are expensive to repair when neglected, so service history matters more on a diesel than on anything else on the lot.
Can I trade my current truck in?
Yes — get a value online, good for 14 days, and any equity goes toward your down payment. We also buy vehicles outright.
Prices exclude applicable taxes, title, license, and other government fees. Financing options available with approved credit. Payment examples are estimates only and may vary based on lender approval and credit profile. Please confirm vehicle details and availability with our team prior to purchase. Some vehicles may have open safety recalls.
